Privacy & data handling.

This page explains, plainly, what happens to information you send the desk. The practice is buyer-side and independent: enquiry data is used to advise you, and for nothing else. It is never sold, never shared with Red Hat or IBM, and never used to market third-party products.

Who we are

RedHatLicenseAudit.com is an independent, buyer-side Red Hat licensing advisory practice. We are not affiliated with Red Hat, Inc. or IBM, and we resell no software. For any question about this notice or your data, write to the desk through the contact form and mark it “Privacy”.

What we collect

When you complete a form on this site we collect only what you submit: your name, work email, company, and the free-text details of your matter (and, where offered, an approximate Red Hat spend band and renewal date). We do not require any of the optional fields. We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data; please do not include it in the free-text field.

Form submissions are processed on our behalf by Formspree, which delivers them to us by email. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) for security and delivery; these logs are not used to build marketing profiles.

How we use it

We use your information for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you engage the desk, to carry out the advisory work. The lawful basis is your consent in contacting us and our legitimate interest in replying. We do not run advertising, we do not sell or rent contact data, and we do not pass your details to Red Hat, IBM, resellers, or any other third party for their own use.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as needed to advise you and to meet professional, tax, and legal record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted. If you ask us to delete your enquiry and we are not required to keep it, we will.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the UK/EU GDPR and similar regimes), you may request access to the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact the desk and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Confidentiality

Audit and licensing matters are sensitive. Everything you share is treated as confidential. Engagements are covered by a mutual non-disclosure agreement, and case details are never published in a way that identifies a client without written permission.

Cookies

This site uses no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Any storage used is strictly functional.

Changes to this notice
